event takes place at the Conejo Valley Days carnival site! Special
Kids Day is an annual event for disabled
children, coordinated with our area schools and sponsored by the Zonta
Club of the Conejo Valley On one special morning in May, the CVD
Carnival
Site will be open only for these handicapped and disabled children
providing them with the opportunity to enjoy an participate in the
carnival festivities.
Image the thrill! Approximately 300 "Special Kids" will have the opportunity
to enjoy midway rides, a petting zoo and pony rides. Costumed characters
and clowns will also be on hand and the kids can explore a fire truck,
ambulance, helicopter and motorcycle. The day will be topped off with
lunch in the "Big Top" and each child will receive special mementos.
HOW
This is possible
only because of people such as yourself who care by becoming a part
of the event. Your assistance is absolutely vital! As a volunteer, for
one morning you can be a "Special Friend" for a "Special kid".
You will escort a child around the ground to various activities, assist
them on rides and enjoy lunch. There are other activities where assistance
is needed. You can also be a sponsor, your tax deductible contribution
assures each child will be provided with everything that is necessary
to make this day memorable!
