Special Kids Day- Conejo Valley Days

WHAT

It is time for "Special Kids Day"! This exceptional event takes place at the Conejo Valley Days carnival site! Special Kids Day is an annual event for disabled children, coordinated with our area schools and sponsored by the Zonta Club of the Conejo Valley On one special morning in May, the CVD Carnival Site will be open only for these handicapped and disabled children providing them with the opportunity to enjoy an participate in the carnival festivities. Image the thrill! Approximately 300 "Special Kids" will have the opportunity to enjoy midway rides, a petting zoo and pony rides. Costumed characters and clowns will also be on hand and the kids can explore a fire truck, ambulance, helicopter and motorcycle. The day will be topped off with lunch in the "Big Top" and each child will receive special mementos.

HOW

This is possible only because of people such as yourself who care by becoming a part of the event. Your assistance is absolutely vital! As a volunteer, for one morning you can be a "Special Friend" for a "Special kid". You will escort a child around the ground to various activities, assist them on rides and enjoy lunch. There are other activities where assistance is needed. You can also be a sponsor, your tax deductible contribution assures each child will be provided with everything that is necessary to make this day memorable!
